Child protection and safeguarding is a vital and potentially lifesaving duty of anyone who works with children and their families. Our safeguarding course looks at all the essential aspects of child protection, ensuring you understand your responsibilities for any children under your care. It is essential that you have an up-to-date knowledge of child protection procedures when working in any child or vulnerable adult sectors. Through taking this course you can improve your knowledge, CV and feel confident in carrying out the appropriate actions should you have any concerns.
With all Continuum courses, you have the help and support of tutors that want you to succeed in your studies. Not everyone likes to communicate through email or web support, so we offer the unique service of telephone tutorials. You can actually talk the course through with your tutor, or get an extra hand with a specific area or module. Your tutor will also be able to provide you with unlimited online email support to help answer any questions that you may have whilst you are studying the course. We want you to achieve!
At the end of each module, students are required to undergo an interactive online assessment to access the retention of the knowledge they have just learnt. This is helps us track your progress and highlight any area which you may wish to gain extra support from your tutor.
Following all the course modules, a final assessment test of 10 questions covering all module topics must be completed. This final assessment is used to ascertain whether you have met the required standard of learning to gain the certificate. The test is fully interactive and marked instantaneously, allowing you to know whether you have passed the course.
Don’t worry of you don’t pass first time, you can retake the assessment as many time as you need at no extra charge, and remember, your course tutor will support and help you through the process if required.
The Safeguarding for the professional course requires approx. 10 hours of learning to complete, however this is just a guide and will depend on individual ability to absorb and retain information. As with all e-learning, it is flexible and you can work at your own pace. Learners will have access for 1 year from starting the course. Extensions are available upon request.
